Things You Might Not Know About Babies

You probably aren't aware of just how quickly babies can change and grow. In almost no time at all a baby goes from a ball of rapidly dividing cells to the beginnings of a human being with rudimentary lungs, a brain and a pumping heart. It takes only nine months to go from a couple of cells to a being fully capable of living independently. It doesn't take long for personal preferences and personalities to emerge. Things like moving on their own, needing help with diaper changes and even how they learn to speak are pretty commonly understood. Here are some interesting tidbits and trivia about infants that you might have fun learning.
Even before a baby is born he is sensitive to light. There are millions of fibers and nerves that make up your eyes. In order to work the right way your eye muscles need to have extremely precise coordination. It only takes a few months from conception to form working eyes. Your baby will be sensitive to light changes by the time your pregnancy is six months along. Another amazing "eye fact" about babies: most Caucasian babies are born with blue eyes but will "settle in" to their permanent eye color by the time they are a few months old. The blue color in your baby's eyes will probably change if you are Caucasian. So don't get excited if your baby has blue eyes at birth. They might not stay that way! It is common knowledge that babies can hear while they are still inside of their mothers. Doctors have proven that babies can hear and react to the sounds that they hear-sometimes very strongly! Did you know, though, that decibel levels are just as important while the baby is in the womb as it is once the baby is born? Even before the baby is birthed, his ears are very sensitive. Your doctor will probably tell you that a good gauge for what is too loud is your vacuum cleaner: if your television or music is louder than the vacuum then that music or television show needs its volume turned down! Even your vacuum cleaner pushes the limits of your baby's comfort so you will want to keep the noise level in your home down and avoid loud noises outside as well.
Even though you want to avoid mercury, you can still have fish-just make sure it is a mercury free species! By now you've probably had a bunch of your friends as well as your doctor tell you that you should be eating salmon because it contains a bunch of healthful properties that you and your baby need and it is mercury free. It is believed that eating fish both improves the brain function of a fetus and sets them up for superior communication skills later in life and that women who do not eat fish will not be able to pass these things along to their children. If you do not eat or particularly like fish, don't worry-none of this has been scientifically proven as fact yet.
The amount of untapped baby knowledge out there will astound you. Ironically, the more information an adult has on a subject the more patience he or she usually has for it when faced with it.

I was just looking for this information for some time. After 6 hours of continuous Googleing, at last I got it in your site. I wonder what's the Google's issue that doesn't rank this kind of informative sites closer to the top. Usually the top websites are full of garbage.

Nice read. I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing a little research on that. He just bought me lunch since I found it for him! Thus let me rephrase: Thank you for lunch!
